REPORT
p.121
Report on our street festival
Its’ an objective report of what happened there.
Objective, neutral style. No place for personal opinions (except for the last part)
It uses a formal style – no contracted forms, and formal phrases/words. Use of impersonal constructions – It is said that.. / A new building has been opened… -Avoiding the overuse of ‘I’ phrases
-        We can use the polite ‘we’
I think that it would be better… / We think that

AVOIDING ‘YOU’ sentences
The impersonal ‘you’ – The same happens when you apply for a job
The ‘pointing you’ – addressing directly to the reader.
This type of writing exercises are easy if you know the rules to follow.E The English used is boring and there is no place for creativity
SUBHEADINGS – to clarify the content of each statement
